This is a deep, insightful and informative course for all women to become informed and empowered about peri/menopause. Everything is covered from how hormones work, how they affect all areas of health, how different women transition to everything you need to know about your treatment options including all the latest info on MHT (Menopause Hormone Therapy.)

It will also help you to weigh-in on lifestyle and supplement therapies, how to integrate them into your toolkit and get the best out of them responsibly and effectively. If I do your courses does that mean I do not need to see you or another doctor as a patient?

No. These courses do not replace a doctor’s one -on- one consultation and treatment process and within the course I cannot offer you individualised advice or issue you any prescriptions for medications. The courses serve as a guide to get you started on your journey, to help empower you with balanced and credible knowledge in a distilled way that is less confusing than pouring over mountains of information. Once you have completed the courses, it is my hope you will have clearer direction for yourself and can start making meaningful life changes. The information in the courses may also prompt you to ask more informed and insightful questions of your own health care provider, empowering you to be a more active and informed participant in your health story.

What is the difference between the Midlife Rising Course and The Integrated Guide to Peri/ Menopause Course?

The Integrated Guide to Peri/Menopause takes an in-depth look specifically at the peri/ menopause. It is for women who are going through this phase of life or for women who want to prepare for it in a pro-active way. It covers everything you need to know about hormones, your health, MHT and weighs in on other modalities of support like supplements, diet and exercise.

Midlife Rising is a course for men, women and all gender identities and takes a broader view of the midlife years exploring all the changes we experience in the different tissue systems of the body. It aims to prepare us all for the physical and mental challenges of aging and how we can navigate this with a ‘rise up’ approach rather than shrinking away into retreat. It explores lifestyle and age-related diseases, how they develop and what we can do to protect ourselves. Whilst Midlife Rising will cover transitions like menopause and andropause (male hormone decline) it will not go into the depth of information specifically about peri/menopause that The Integrated Guide to Peri/Menopause does.

In Midlife Rising, will I learn everything about MHT and whether I should take it or not?

In Midlife Rising, I will give you an overview of the peri-menopausal transition and provide some insights on the latest information on MHT but if you are specifically looking for more comprehensive, detailed information on menopause and MHT, I would recommend you do The Integrated Guide to Peri/Menopasue first. Midlife Rising focuses on other areas of health in the midlife, like cellular aging and metabolic health,  not just menopause and MHT.

Why should I do both courses?

Both courses together would provide a comprehensive overview of the midlife, aging, chronic inflammation and disease as well as everything you need to know about peri/menopause equipping you with vital facts and re-imagined purpose for your health vision.

What kind of treatment information do you offer in your courses? Do you lean toward ‘natural’ treatments, lifestyle-based strategies or pharmaceutical treatment options?

My aim in my courses is to provide you with tools and treatment strategies that combine information around all these spheres in a balanced way. I share insights on conventional medical management that may include pharmaceuticals, hormone therapies and information on certain supplements- where I have seen that they can be of benefit and what their limitations are. I will also cover lifestyle-based therapies which include insights into nutrition, movement and psychology. My goal is to offer you a palette of options, weighing in the pro’s and con’s of each so you can make more informed and targeted decisions for yourself within the unique context of your life and circumstances.
